Blochpoint Hybrid compute advisory

Quantum when it pays. Classical when it doesn't.

Blochpoint helps enterprises decide which workloads belong on GPUs, classical HPC, or quantum hardware, then builds the business case and the architecture to back that decision up.

A classical bit lives at one pole or the other. A qubit can sit anywhere on the sphere. Choose an industry to see where it tends to land.

4possible answers for every workload we review, including "not yet"
10questions between you and your compute readiness score

Your board is asking about quantum. Every vendor says yes.

Most quantum advice comes from companies selling hardware or cloud time. We sell neither. We're paid for the answer, and sometimes the honest answer is "not yet."

When a workload doesn't justify quantum today, we'll say so, and show you what will pay off on the infrastructure you already have. When it does, we'll build the pilot and the numbers your CFO needs to fund it.

Every workload gets one of four answers.

We map your candidate workloads one by one and route each to where it earns its keep.

GPU acceleration

AI training and inference, simulation, and analytics that run faster and cheaper on modern accelerators.

Classical HPC

Large-scale modeling and batch workloads that belong on well-tuned clusters, on-prem or in the cloud.

Quantum pilot

Optimization and simulation problems where a scoped hybrid pilot on real quantum hardware is worth running now.

Not yet

Ideas worth watching but not funding today, with the milestones that would change our answer.

Pick a workload, set its size and how soon you need results, and see where we'd send it and why.

Illustrative only. A real routing call depends on your data, constraints, and costs.

Fixed scope. Clear deliverables.

Most clients start with the Readiness Sprint. Everything after it is scoped from what the sprint finds.

Compute Readiness Sprint

Where most clients start

We inventory your candidate workloads, route each one to GPU, classical HPC, quantum, or not yet, and hand you an ROI model your CFO can defend.

Two to three weeks. Fixed fee: [PRICE].

AI Factory Architecture

Design and sizing for on-prem and cloud GPU infrastructure, from a single cluster to a full AI factory, including the build, rent, or neocloud decision.

Scoped per engagement.

Hybrid Quantum Pilots

Proofs of concept that pair classical HPC with real quantum hardware, in Chattanooga or through cloud providers, with vendor-neutral hardware selection.

Typically 8 to 12 weeks. [CONFIRM]

Compute Economics

Total cost of ownership, capacity planning, and a clear measure of what your AI and HPC spend actually produces.

Project or ongoing advisory.

Quantum-Safe Readiness

An inventory of where your encryption is exposed to future quantum attacks, and a migration roadmap to the new post-quantum standards.

Fixed fee: [PRICE].

Find out where you stand in ten questions.

The Compute Readiness Assessment looks at your workloads, infrastructure, data sensitivity, and the pressure you're under. You'll see your scores right away, and can have the full report with your workload map sent to your inbox.

Your answers stay private. No sales call required.

Built next door to America's quantum city.

Chattanooga is home to the first U.S. facility offering commercial access to both a quantum computer and a quantum network. We're based here, which means our clients' pilots can run on real hardware with a hybrid classical system in the same building.

Blochpoint is an independent firm and is not affiliated with EPB.

Trapped-ion qubits are individual charged atoms held in place by electric fields and controlled with precisely aimed lasers. It's the same approach used by the quantum computer now running at the EPB Quantum Center.

IonQ Forte Enterprise quantum computer
Launched at the EPB Quantum Center in September 2026.
Commercial access for businesses
Companies can buy quantum computing time beginning October 2026.
Hybrid computing on site
A classical supercomputer, installed with IonQ, NVIDIA, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, works alongside the quantum system.
A citywide quantum network
EPB Quantum Network runs on the same fiber that made Chattanooga the Gig City.

Senior practitioners who have built the systems and defended the budgets.

Blochpoint's team brings more than 75 years of combined management consulting experience across enterprise software, data center infrastructure, and quantum physics and algorithms. We've designed the platforms, sized the clusters, and sat across the table from the CFO who has to approve them.

That mix matters. Most firms bring you architects who can't speak finance, or finance advisors who can't size a GPU cluster. Every Blochpoint engagement is led by senior people who can do both.

Enterprise software and platforms

Cloud and AI platforms, data systems, and the performance management tools finance teams run on, delivered for Fortune 500 organizations.

Data center and HPC infrastructure

GPU clusters, AI factories, and high-performance computing, from capacity planning and power through production operations.

Quantum physics and algorithms

The science under the hardware: which algorithms fit which problems, how today's machines actually perform, and what the roadmaps realistically promise.

We're growing. If you're a practitioner in quantum, HPC, or compute economics, we'd like to hear from you.
